Here are the first release candidate for Microlite2020 and Microlite2020 Old School Edition. I believe they are "feature complete". This means it is time for proofreading for typos and text that may not be a clear as it should be. I'm horrible at proofreading so all help is much appreciated.

Quick question.
When you gain "+1 to any background", does that mean it can only be applied to a background you already have or can it be applied to a new background?

Hey @randalls if you're not in a rush to release these before Monday I'll take a pass thru them this weekend.

Roll 4d6, drop lowest dice. Total remaining 3 dice and allocate
to one of the stats. Repeat for remaining stats.

Stat bonus = (STAT-10)/2, round towards zero.

If it's alright, I'm going to suggest a revision here since there appears to be plenty of space in the document for it.

"Roll 4d6, drop the lowest die, and total the remaining 3.
Allocate this total to one of the stats.
Repeat for each stat.

Stat bonus = (STAT-10)/2, round down."

Just my two cents.
I found a couple of typos as well, but I will post those later on.

That reads better. I'll use it. Thank you!

Glad I could help.
I help my girlfriend with editting her first novel, so I have a smidge of experience in that capacity.

ALL assistance in proofreading and editing is greatly appreciated. According to a test I once took, something like 90% of the English speaking population are better proofreaders than I am. Modern tools -- spell and grammar checkers -- help, but not enough.

BTW, you don't need to worry about layout. All the layout I've done so far is to start each major section in a new column.

I left this with the original "round toward zero" as this is much different from "round down" if you are rounding a negative number. For example, if your stat is 7 (7-10) is -3. -3/2 is -1.5. Round down would be -2. Round towards zero would be -1. -1 is the result I want. I could say "Stat bonus = (STAT-10)/2. If the result is positive, round dowm. If the result is negative, round up.", but this is wordy and actually seems less clear than a simple "round toward zero".

Ah. Gotcha. That makes sense.

Here are a couple of things I just noticed that you may want to add.

So there is mention of making a MND save in the description for minor magic, but saving throws are not defined anywhere.

The other is the description for acid arrow mentions a ranged touch attack, but touch attacks are also not defined.
