Is there any interest in stuff I archived from,  and/or contributed to Greywulf's original M20 forum?

Both of those are already in the Microlite20 sections of the Downloads area. If you have any M20 variants or files that are not there, I'd be happy to add them to the download collection.

I am noting as I go through the Ml78 rules that there are a few things that are unclear in their explanation. Such as where is the Monster Attack Table located

As there is no real monster attack table, this sounds like something that did not get fixed in editing.  Please tell me where you found this so I can add it to the list of stuff to fix.

See the second column of page 6: "After 8th level, the amount of experience points required to advance no longer doubles. Instead of doubling, it increases by a flat amount each level: the High Level Adder from the character’s final Experience Base."

Basically, after level 8, a character needs an additional amount of experience equal to his calculated High Level Adder to advance to the next level.  If you aren't using optional rules that provide adjustments to XP point requirements, the XP tables provided for each class have all this calculation done for you.

perhaps an ablative form of armor; where it gradually loses its protective capability as it is repeatedly hit. only thing that would have to be considered and retro-fitted would be how to handle AC and armor itself.

For a simple system, you might borrow an idea from the "Black Hack" games: they have equipment that can be used up assigned a die (say a D12), when you use the equipment, you roll the die, on a one or a two, your supply degrades and you drop to the next lowest die size (D10 in this case). when you run out of dice to drop to, you are "out of stock" in arrows or food or whatever is being tracked. You could use a similar system for Armor, only when you drop a die size you also lose a point of protection. Note: this is off the top of my head and have received no real considered thought, let alone playtesting.

I am now endeavouring to combine your ML78 ruleset with Lone Wolf Developments RealmWorks campaing database engine. Thus far I have gotten almost everything up to the Magic User spells entered. Big chores in the cut and paste exercise, I'll tackle the Monsters next and then hopefully finish up with all the optional rules and such. The software should allow me to export it to a useable file that if you desire to you can host from the forum if you wish.

Sure, I'd be happy to host a download of this so others can use it.

I've recently moved to Ohio and as soon as we finish the house modifications for my wife (MS mixed with a really bad back), I will be seriously trying to get a new group together here. I already have a few people who had said they are interested -- unfortunately none available on the same day.

ok, with regard to information would using a standard ad&d or 3.5 sheet have the basic structure to reproduce a sheet?

An AD&D 1e sheet should be fairly easy to modify for Microlite78. A 3.5 sheet would probably require a lot more work.

Having read through most of the basic discussions on how each ruleset is built is/are there any specifically constructed pc sheets floating in cyberspace somewhere that pertain to each of the Microlite versions (especially 78) as I am trying to input as much of the core rules into Realmworks for a campaign I want to build and run.

Years ago, some people posted sheets for Microlite74 1.1 and 2.0. I don't think anyone has done so for Microlite78. I tend to design sheet for each campaign I run, so they aren't generic enough to be useful for anyone else. They have stuff specific to the setting and the specific options and house rules the campaign is using.

Pure Microlite20 is just a much less complex version of 3.x. Most GM advice for 3.x is good advice foe Microlite20. You don't mention if you have any experience with non-D20 RPGs, if you do, that may be enough to go on by itself -- depending, of course, on what systems you have experience with.

There are versions of Microlite20 that are more complete , but those versions aren't really "microlite" -- although in many cases the rules still boil down to just a few pages.

Any ideas?  I think HP would have to be modified.

Any such system is going to require relatively major modification to the "D&D chassis" to work at all well. I've never tried to do it so I can't be much help.

How do I do this in Microlite, select the monsters corresponding to the PC level?

Sorry but I've been involved in a major move across country and haven't been very active online since mid-August.
You can use CRs from thye SRD if you want. However, I've found WOTC's CRs (in all three of their editions) to not be very helpful. In general, I've found using "adjusted hit dice" to be as as good and much less complex. Take a monster's HD and add an extra HD for each powerful special ability. A normal party of characters should be able to take on a normal group of monsters with an adjusted hit dice of equal to their average level with some effort and good tactics. This isn't perfect either, but then D&D was not designed to be used in this type of "balanced encounter" mode to start with and attempts to make working CR like systems are never going to be super-accurate.

The Difficulty Class (DC) for all spells: 10 + Caster Level + Caster’s MIND bonus.

Can someone explain exactly when I should be using this difficulty class?

That's also the DC to roll against if you are trying to dispel a spell. A lot of M20 rules assume familiarity with the 3.x SRD. This is one of the worst examples of that. :(

It looks like you are rounding wrong. If there is a reminder, round toward zero:

stat of 2 is (2-10)/3 = -2.6666 rounded toward zero is -2

stat of 12 is (12-10)/3 = 0.6666 rounded toward zero is 0

Don't consider whether the remainder is greater that 0.5 or not, always round toward 0 (aka round up if the result is negative, round down if the result is positive).  A result of 2.9999 would still be 2. A result of -2.9999 would still be -2.

Noticed it's still in the old THACO format (effective ac of 2, all other attack are effective ac of 4)

Thanks for mentioning this. I thought I had remembered to fix that everywhere. I guess not. Adding it back to the list.  It should read:

Shield: Improves caster’s armor class to 17 versus missile attack and to 15 versus melee attacks.
